After updating my HP Laserjet Pro M102a to the latest version available here, i found out that I couldn’t print pages completely anymore.
After trying to find an older firmware I couldn’t find one anywhere in the Internet, before I find one here that it should be compatible with my printer.
When launched, it shows an error about impossible downgrade.
When you extract the file using 7zip you will find a file named 1013 in the folder “M101_Series_FW_Update-20160908.rsrc\FILE” that you will rename to 1013.rfu
After that, create a share of your printer that will be something like ” \\YourComputer\HP LaserJet M101-M106″
Go to start menu, type cmd, then right click on the command console and click on launch as administrator.
Then type the following : copy /b “PATHTOYOURFILE\1013.rfu” “\\YOURCOMPUTER\HP LaserJet M101-M106″ while changing “pathtoyourfile” by the current 1013.rfu file location and “yourcomputer” by your computer name.
Press enter and wait for the print job to complete. After that the printer will restart itself and there you go, you should be able to print normally after that.
