In Windows 10 & Windows 11, the 0x0 0x0 error commonly appears in computers running in the Windows Insider program, which gives users the opportunity to try out new features in future versions of Windows that called BETA. So, if you’re in Windows Insider program try to update to the latest build and see if that fixes the error 0x0.
The error code 0x0 error may also appear when you run a specific application or game because of a bug in the application/game. At this case try to reinstall the program that causes the error 0x0.
How to fix Error Code 0x0 0x0 in Windows 10/11.
- Install All Windows Updates.
- Stop Simultaneously Running Programs.
- Delete Useless files with Disk Cleanup.
- Perform a Virus Scan.
- Update or Install an oldest Video Driver.
- Repair Windows.
- Perform a Clean Boot.
- Clean Install Windows.
Method 1: Install All Windows Updates.
Another thing that you can try is to check for updates. This is especially important if you are using the Windows Insider Preview feature. To check for updates, follow these steps:
1. Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security.
2. Click Check for updates.
3. Finally let Windows to download any available updates and install them.
Method 2: Stop Simultaneously Running Programs.

(Attention: by checking this all the contents of the recycle bin will be deleted) - Temporary Files.
- Temporary Windows Installation files.
6. Click the Delete Files button to confirm your decision.
7. Wait until the cleaning tool finishes deleting the selected files and continue to next step.
Method 4: Perform a Virus Scan.
The error 0x0 0x0 may be caused by malware or virus so it would be good to run a full system scan. To do that:
1. Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security.
2. Switch to the Windows Security section and open Virus & threat protection.
3. Under the Virus & threat protection, click on the Scan options link.
4. Now, scroll down, check the Full scan option, and click on Scan now button.
Method 5: Update or Install an oldest Video Driver.
Error code 0x0 0x0 can also occur due to outdated or damaged graphics drivers. To fix this:

Method 6. FIX Windows corruption errors with DISM & SFC tools.
The System File Checker (SFC) and the DISM tools can help to fix many Windows problems. To run the SFC scan, follow these steps:
1. Open command prompt as administrator. To do that:
1. In the Search box type: cmd or command prompt
2. Right click on the command prompt (result) and select Run as Administrator.
2. At the command prompt window, type the following command & press Enter:
- Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth
3. Be patient until DISM repairs component store. When the operation is completed, (you should be informed that the component store corruption was repaired), give this command and press Enter:
- SFC /SCANNOW
4. When SFC scan is completed, restart your computer.
Method 7: Perform a Clean Boot
If you are still experiencing error code 0x0 0x0, you can try performing a clean boot. This will help fix any software conflict that may be causing the problem. To perform a clean boot, follow these steps:
1. Click on the Start button and type msconfig in the Search bar. Then click to open the System Configuration App.
2. On the System Configuration window, switch to the Services tab, check the Hide all Microsoft services option, and then click on Disable all button. *
* Note: Some users reported that the error 0x0 resolved after disabling the “SysMain” (Superfetch) service from Microsoft. So, before hiding all MS services disable also the SysMain service.
3. Now, switch to the Startup tab and click on the Open Task Manager link.
4. Under the Startup tab of the Task Manager window, select one by one all programs that start with Windows (Enabled), and click on Disable.
5. Once you have disabled all the startup items, close the Task Manager and click on OK to save changes.
6. Now restart your PC and check if the problem 0x0 is fixed. If the problem has been resolved, perform that same steps and enable one-by-one all the disabled services and startup programs until you find the one that gives you the error (0x0).
Method 8. Perform a Clean Windows 10 installation.
Many times, especially in computers with oldest Chipset and CPU, it is better and less time consuming to backup your files and to RESET your PC or to perform a clean Windows 10 installation, than to try to resolve Windows problems.
